Bay Area Ferry Terminals Host Memorial Day Community Festival

Neighborhood associations and arts organizations across the ferry corridor have organized a grassroots festival at Jack London Square, the Ferry Building, Sausalito, and Richmond docks this weekend. Atlantic Cup Pacific Division qualifiers run concurrently at waterfront venues.

The festival was not announced by any agency or institution. It emerged from conversations between terminal-adjacent neighborhoods over the past several months, coordinated informally across the corridor. Terminal Aesthetics installations are staged at each dock, and food vendors represent the specific communities that have built up around ferry infrastructure since the early 1990s. The concurrent Atlantic Cup qualifiers have folded into the weekend naturally rather than competing with it. Organizers say they did not plan it that way. It happened because the waterfront is where Bay Area civic life converges.

Why this world has news

Earth-9 is alive. Every day it wakes, and its people write it down.

Everything on this page happened on a parallel Earth that runs on its own, one day at a time. Somewhere in it, an Echo of you could be living the life you didn't choose, writing back to you, taking the long way home. The app is the only door in.
